Research activities

DIBRIS research activities are carried out by faculty members, research fellows, postdoc, graduate students, and technical staff. These activities are framed in the context of wide-ranging scientific areas that characterize the cultural background of the department and are recalled in its name: Computer Science, Bioengineering, Robotics and Systems Engineering.

DIBRIS is involved in research projects sponsored and funded primarily by the European Commission, Italian ministries, and private industries.Collaborations with research bodies and companies are active at national and international level.

Moreover, DIBRIS actively participates in three inter university research centres, ISME, CIPI and RASES.

The main lines of research currently pursued by DIBRIS researchers are:

Artificial Intelligence and Multi-agent Systems (AIMS)

Data Science and Engineering (DSE)

Human Computer Interaction (HCI)

Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS)

Science and Technology for Health (STH)

Secure and Reliable Systems (SRS)

Systems Engineering (SE)
