Navigating Graphs for Fun and Profit Speaker: Matteo Dell’Amico senior principal researcher, Symantec Abstract: How to decide who to trust on the Internet? How to create a machine learning system that spares you from converting data to numeric vectors? In this talk, I'll give an overview of various problems that I encountered in my research, and I will show solutions that, in many cases, involve finding paths in graphs. Short Bio: Matteo Dell'Amico is a senior principal researcher at Symantec. He obtained his Ph.D. at the University of Genoa; before Symantec, he also worked at University College London and EURECOM in France. His research interests include algorithms and data structures, distributed and decentralized systems, computer security and recommender systems.
